Festivals & Events
Busan's biggest yearly festivals and how to plan around them.
Two events dominate the calendar. The Busan International Film Festival runs in early October, and the Busan Fireworks Festival lands in early November. Both fill the hotels and crowd the metro on their peak days, and both sell seats weeks ahead — BIFF opens booking in waves, not all at once.
Festival dates move every year, so each guide carries the current year's dates with the official source next to them, and we update them as the organizers publish. The calendar guide covers the smaller events through the year, including the summer sea festivals and the winter light displays.
