Beaches, villages, temples and viewpoints worth your time.
Most of what visitors come for sits on the coast, and the metro reaches nearly all of it. The western group is Nampo-dong, Jagalchi, Gamcheon Culture Village and Songdo; the eastern group is Haeundae, Dongbaekseom, Gwangalli and Oryukdo; Haedong Yonggungsa is northeast in Gijang; and Beomeosa, the one mountain temple, is north on Line 1.
Beaches are free and never close. Temples open early and are busiest mid-morning. Gamcheon and Huinnyeoul are lived-in neighborhoods rather than open-air museums, so the guides note where residents' front doors are. Every guide below gives the subway exit, bus numbers and a 出租车 estimate, plus opening hours and fees where a place has them, with the official source.
